Achieves Another Milestone With Tech Park.
Last
month, the
DuPage Airport Authority finalized its master development
agreement with CenterPoint Properties for the development of
the DuPage National Technology Park.
The high-tech,
800-acre business and research park,
located south of the Authority’s Prairie Landing Golf
Club, will be one of the most
sophisticated of its kind in the country.
Expected tenants include Argonne National
Laboratory's Center for Advanced Technology, NASA Illinois
Commercialization Center, University of Illinois' Technology
Research Education and Commercialization Center and the

Airport’s Home County Lowest In
Property Tax Rates. In
a recent comparison of county
tax rates for commercial and industrial/hangar
buildings in the 6-County Chicago metro area, DuPage County
ranks the lowest in its average property
tax rate with 6.61% for commercial and 6.69% for

· Fractional
Jet Ownership Continues Its Growth.
According to Business
Jet Traveler,
the fractional jet ownership market added 54 aircraft (up
6.5%), 305 shares (up 4.8%) and 252 shareholders (up 5.5%)
since last year. NetJets, which
owns 48% of the market, and Citation Shares, which
9% of the market, led the overall growth of the industry.
Major providers such as Flight Options and Flexjet,
however, lost market share during the same time period.

· Strong
Growth In Aircraft
Charter Market Since 2004.
According to a special report by Aviation
International News (AIN),
options, awareness, security, time, the economy and hassles
of airline traffic have helped boost charter activity by
30%-40% since last year.
Executive aircraft charter in Europe has also grown
in the first half of 2005 with AIN reporting a 17% increase
in flight hours logged compared to the same period last

Jet Sales Jump in 1st Half 2005.
Deliveries of new turbine business airplanes in the
first half of 2005 shot up more than 31% compared with the
same period last year, according to the General Aviation
Manufacturers Association (GAMA). Cessna and Bombardier had
the biggest gains with 74% and 44% growth respectfully. Raytheon
increased 31%
and Gulfstream 11% in sales over the same

Fighter Style
Business Jet Javelin Makes First Flight.
On October 1, Aviation Technology Group’s 2-seat
Javelin executive jet made its maiden
voyage for 34 minutes in Colorado.
Designed to incorporate military jet performance to
the general aviation market, the $2.8 million new small jet
will be available in 2008.
The new two-seat jet aircraft is capable of .925 Mach

Short
Term Jet Fuel Prices Hit Hard.
The Federal Energy Information
Administration estimates that refinery
outages from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in late August and
September amount to about 1.3 million barrels per day of
lost gasoline production, over 700,000 barrels per day of
lost distillate fuel production, and nearly 400,000 barrels
per day of lost jet fuel production.
Between September 1

FAA
Begins Privatization Flight Station Services.
On October 4, Lockheed Martin took control of the
FAA’s flight service station (FSS) services which provide
pilot briefings, en route radio communications and VFR
search and rescue services. By April 2006, Lockheed will
launch the Flight Service 21 (FS21) Web portal for pilots
nationwide to obtain preflight briefings, file flight plans,
store user profiles, and get graphical flight planning and
