Airport Businesses Continue to Add Value.
In addition to being the preferred Flight School for
Sky Airlines, DPA’s Illinois
Aviation Academy (IAA) has just expanded its pilot
certification services by becoming a Cirrus Certified Flight
School.
Additionally, Travel
Express Aviation (TEA)’s Chief
Flight Instructor, Pat Knight, has earned the designation of
Master Flight Instructor for the 5th time.
Nationwide, fewer
than 500 certified flight instructors have achieved the
distinction and Pat is one of only 10
Illinois aviation educators who have earned this
prestigious "Master" title.

Tax Bill Targets Employee Use of Business Aircraft.
Citing a recent
Wall Street Journal article detailing the use of
corporate jets by CEOs, Senator Mark Dayton has introduced a
measure that would require employees to include in
their reported income the full value of personal use of
business aircraft. Sen.
Dayton said the measure would raise about $95 million in new
taxes over 10 years. The
new law would affect all aircraft operators from the
smallest pistons to the largest jets. www.aviationnow.com/avnow

Forecast Strong Growth in Business Aviation.
Honeywell Aerospace forecasts delivery of
approximately 9,900 new business aircraft from 2005 through
2015, generating industry sales of $156 billion. New
business jet deliveries in 2006 are expected to exceed 800
for the first time in industry history.
Over the next 20 years, Rolls-Royce projects
deliveries of 15,400 aircraft with North America remaining
the largest market. The China, India and Russia markets,
however, are expected to grow substantially. www.amtonline.com
· Boeing’s
2005 Orders May Break Record.
Boeing has sold a total of 102 Boeing Business Jets (BBJs)
since the launch of the BBJ Program in 1996, surpassing its
goal to reach 100 orders before the end of the year.
With 800 commercial jets sold already this year and
some big orders pending, Boeing is closing in on surpassing
its peak of 877 sales jets sold back in 1988.
Much of the commercial jet sales boom is being driven
by growth abroad in countries such as India and Hong Kong.

FAA
User Fee For GA Proposal Continues Forward.
Although not included in the FAA 2006 Funding Bill,
business aviation groups have stepped up their fight against
general aviation user fees.
The FAA continues to propose a funding structure tied
to the actual cost of the services they provide to each
aircraft. The
airline community has recently united and is pushing a
system in which all aircraft pay the same fee regardless of
size. This
means that a single-engine turboprop and a 555-passenger
Airbus A380 will pay the exact amount. On February 28
next year, the FAA plans to send its proposed
reauthorization legislation to Congress and it will likely
include a proposal for user fees.

Prairie
Landing Golf Tip Of The Month.
Proper
Posture
by
Scott Bussard from The Links at Madison Green. A good golf
swing begins with a good setup; and one of the main
components of a good setup is posture. (1) Stand erect with
the inside of your heels approximately shoulder-width apart
(2) Your weight should be evenly distributed in the
center of your feet (3) Hold the club horizontally in front
of you at shoulder height. (4) Keeping your back straight,
your rump out and your chin up bend forward from your hip
sockets and allow your arms to hang straight down
(5) Unlock your knees so they are slightly flexed
(6) Feet are shoulder width apart (7) Left arm and
the golf club form a straight line (8) Ball position between
middle of stance and left heel
(9) Right shoulder will be lower than the left,
creating a tilt to the spine. If
you would like help with your golf game, please call Prairie
Landing Golf Pro Brian King at 630-202-4653 or email bking@prairielanding.com.
