Airport Operations Area (AOA) Vehicle Permit Program

AOA Vehicle Permit Program
DuPage Airport Authority maintains a comprehensive Security Program to provide our customers, tenants and employees with the safest possible environment to work, conduct business, or to enjoy our facilities.  As part of our Security Program, the identification of persons and vehicles that are authorized to enter upon restricted areas is of significant importance to the safety and protection of all persons utilizing DuPage Airport.  Consistent with recommendations of the Transportation Security Administration, the Airport has adopted a Vehicle Permitting Program for vehicles that have been authorized by the Airport Authority, unescorted access to non-movement (ramp or apron) areas of the Airport Operations Area (AOA).  The AOA includes all areas inside airport fencing designated and used for landing, taking off, or surface maneuvering of aircraft.  The AOA includes ramps, aprons, runways and taxiways.

Any vehicle, except for emergency response vehicles that require unescorted access to the AOA shall display a valid AOA Vehicle Permit issued by the DuPage Airport Authority.  Permits are valid for a period of two (2) years and shall be renewed prior to expiration.  Each AOA Vehicle Permit shall correspond to the vehicle identified and authorized in the AOA Vehicle Permit Application. AOA Vehicle Permits shall be affixed to the lower front passenger side window of the vehicle.

Compliance Requirements
Unescorted vehicles discovered on the AOA without valid a AOA Vehicle Permit will be subject to towing and relocation at the vehicle owner’s expense.
