  • Training and certification in First Aid, CPR, and on-site AED (Automatic External Defibrillators) by all Airport Authority employees
  • Agreements with law enforcement, public safety, and other first responders
  • Comprehensive wildlife management program
  • Aviation Surface Weather Observation Network systems (ASWON) sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), National Weather Service (NWS), and the Department of Defense (DOD) include:
    • Automated Surface Observation System (ASOS) to ensure accurate surface condition reports 24-hours a day.

    • FAA Stand Alone Weather Sensors (SAWS) back up the ASOS.  The sensor suite in SAWS provides additional critical information to our Air Traffic Controllers
    • The Scan Cast monitoring system on our runways and taxiways combats ice during the winter months. Pavement conditions are monitored 24-hours a day to prevent icy conditions.
